Designed over a number of terraces to suit a residential villa on a cliff face overlooking the Coral Sea in a casual and understated manner – while expressing the flamboyance of tropical vegetation. Including the use of species from Papua New Guinea, plants were boldly colour grouped considering also form and strong perfumed scent. A second stage of ground cover underplanting was undertaken following the establishment of the upper canopy of trees and palms. The balance of dramatic landscaping and casual ambience has created a very comfortable residential environment.
