From a humble 1970’s project house, the brief was to create a more open enlarged building suitable for entertaining indoors and out. Very little of the original house was retained with a new layout and extensions to the side and rear. The roof was raised to create higher ceilings accentuated by extended gables over exterior terraces front and rear. An open plan of 2 living spaces, dining and kitchen extends to the outdoors by large glazed doorways and windows including the splashback in the kitchen with views to the garden. A large space connects various bedrooms, bathroom and guest wc with a skylight with diffusers that act as a light fitting at night. The main bedroom suite is a series of rooms extending to the rear also opening out on to the rear terrace. This includes the bedroom, walk in robe, ensuite shower room and large study. With muted colours throughout the home is now a contemporary comfortable series of spaces suitable for a new family for the young owners.
